Each Sunday I plan to post six sentences from my work in progress or a finished manuscript for your reading enjoyment. This is my first week participating in Six Sentence Sunday and I have included six sentences from my book Protecting Rose, which is due for release in December by Soul Mate Publishing.
Here is a fun little scene from the first Chapter of Protecting Rose where my hero, Nate Stone, is taking down a car theft ring. He is undercover and inside a warehouse where the operation is based. He has just been ID'd as a cop and his team is storming the building.
Nate reached for his Glock and dove behind a car, trying not to get his ass blown off as Davis’ men opened fire.
“Now, Rick!” He slammed his back up against the car that shielded him. Bullets rained down around him as the sound of gunfire reverberated through the building. Multiple explosions rocked the air with enough force to shake his balls when the warehouse doors were blown open.
Enjoy! And thank you for stopping by. For more great previews from other authors please click on SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY.
